The Ryokan Collection
The Ryokan Collection Welcomes a New Member – Roka
The Ryokan Collection is gratified to welcome a new member to its group of fine ryokans - Roka.
Roka is going to be born on Naoshima Island in April 2022. The ryokan is located within a two-minute walk to the central of Naoshima Island. Roka is a full-scale ryokan with rooms with open-air baths in all suites. At Roka, a seasonally changing collection of Japanese contemporary artworks will be exhibited, including in the lobby and the guestrooms. If guests like exhibited artworks during their stay, they can also purchase them at the ryokan. From April 2022, the Setouchi Triennale will be held around the twelve islands of the Setouchi Islands and the three major ports of the mainland and Shikoku. The Setouchi Triennale, the largest art event in Japan that brings all contemporary artworks worldwide together, is quite famous domestically and internationally. Art fans from all over the world visit Naoshima Island during that period.
Special Opening Offers
As Setouchi Triennale is held three times a year, Roka will establish early summer and autumn reservation periods for guests. Early booking begins from October to December 2021 for August 4 to September 4, 2022, during Setouchi Triennale in summer and September 29 to November 6 in Autumn. If guests book through The Ryokan Collection, a complimentary full bottle of champaign will be presented to all the guests who made a reservation between October and December 2021 for the Setouchi Triennale period mentioned above.
